Jesus healed a paralyzed man |

One day as Jesus was
entering a village, ten lepers called out to him, "Jesus! Master! Take pity of us". Jesus made a simple reply: "Go and show yourselves to the priests". As they went, their leprosy left them. One of them, overcome with joy, went back to Jesus. He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him. But Jesus was sad, because the nine others didn't bother to come back and say thank you. |

One day Jesus and his friends went to the town of
Nain. Just as they were entering the town a dead man was being carried out for burial, his mother's only son, and she was a widow. When Jesus saw her, his heart went out to her. "Do not cry", he said to her. Then he stopped the procession and said to the dead body "Young man, I tell you, get up!" The dead man sat up and began talking, and Jesus gave him back to his mother. |

As Jesus entered the town of Jericho there was a blind beggar by the side of the road. When the blind man heard that Jesus was passing by he called out "Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!" Some people told him to keep quiet but he called out even more loudly "Son of David, have pity on me!" 3Jesus asked him, "What do you want?" The man replied "Sir, let me see again" Jesus said to him "Receive back your sight; your faith has saved you." At that moment, his sight returned and he followed Jesus along the road, praising God at the top of his voice. |

A leper came to Jesus and bowed low in front of him. "Sir", he said, "if you want to, you can cure me." Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him and said "Of course I want to heal you! Be cured!" And his leprosy was cured at once. |

A leading soldier came to Jesus and pleaded with him. "Sir", he said, "my servant is lying at home paralyzed and in great pain." "I will come myself and cure him" said Jesus. The soldier replied "Sir, I cam not worthy to have you come to my home. Just say the word and my servant will be healed." Jesus said to the soldier "Go home then. You have believed, therefore let this be done for you". And the servant was cured at that moment. |

Jesus went to the home of his friend Peter. Peter's mother-in-law was sick in bed with a fever. Jesus touched her hand, and the fever left her. She got up and began to give Jesus some food and drink. |

One evening people brought many sick people to Jesus. He cured all of them. This had been prophesied by Isaiah a long time before Jesus was born: "He took our sickness away, and carried our diseases for us". |

Some people brought a paralysed man lying on a bed. Seeing the strong faith of the man's friends, Jesus said to the paralysed man "Courage, your sins are forgiven. Get up, pick up your bed and go home". And the man got up and went home. |

A religious official came to Jesus and said "My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her and her life will be saved". Jesus and his disciples started out for the man's home. On the way a woman who had suffered from a haemorrhage for 12 years touched the fringe of Jesus' cloak. The woman had said to herself "If I can only touch his cloak I shall be well again". Jesus saw her and said to her "Courage, your faith has restored you to health". And from that moment she was well again. When Jesus reached the official's house , he said to the flute players and mourners "Get out of here; the little girl is not dead. She is asleep". The mourners laughed at him. But when the mourners had left the house, Jesus took the little girl by the hand and she stood up. |

Two blind men followed Jesus shouting "Take pity on us, Son of David". Jesus said to them "Do you believe I can do this?". They said "Sir, we do". Then Jesus touched their eyes saying "Your faith deserves it. So let this be done for you". And their sight returned. The men had only just left when a dumb demoniac was brought to Jesus. Jesus cast out the devil and the dumb man spoke. |

Once when Jesus was in a meeting hall, he saw a man with a withered hand. He said to the man "Stretch out your hand". He stretched it out and his hand was better, as sound as the other one. |

Jesus came to the land of Gennesaret. When the local people recognized him, they spread the news through the whole area and took all their sick to him, begging him just to let them touch the fringe of his cloak. And all those who touched it were completely cured. |

When Jesus went to the area near Tyre and Sidon, a local Canaanite woman started shouting "Sir, Son of David, take pity on me. My daughter is tormented by a devil". The woman then knelt at Jesus' feet and pleaded "Lord, help me". Jesus said to her "Woman, your faith is very strong. Your wish is granted". And from that moment her daughter was well again. |

Near the shore of Lake Galilee Jesus sat down on the side of a hill. Large crowds came to him bringing the lame, the crippled, the blind, the dumb and many others. These they put down at his feet, and he cured them all. The crowds were astonished to see the dumb speaking, the cripples whole again, the lame walking and the blind with their sight. Everyone praised God. |

A man came to Jesus, went down on his knees before him and said "Lord, take pity on my son. He is mentally handicapped and in a wretched state. He is always falling into fire or water. I took him to your disciples and they were unable to cure him". Jesus said "Bring the boy here to me". Jesus rebuked a devil inside the boy. The devil came out of the boy and the boy was cured from that moment. Later on the disciples asked Jesus "Why were we unable to cast out the devil?" Jesus answered "Because your faith is not strong enough". |

Once when Jesus was leaving the town of Jericho, two blind men were sitting beside the road. When they heard that Jesus was passing by, they shouted "Lord! Son of David, have pity on us". People nearby scolded them and told them to keep quiet, but they only shouted more loudly "Lord! Son of David, have pity on us". Jesus stopped, called them over and said "What do you want me to do for you?" They said to him "Lord, let us have our sight back". Jesus felt pity for them and touched their eyes. Immediately their sight returned and they followed him along the road. |

Jesus knew he would soon die. He had a last meal with his friends, then went to a nearby garden to pray. While he was praying a band of men came to arrest him. Peter used his sword to cut off the right ear of one of the men trying to arrest Jesus. Jesus immediately told Peter to put the sword away. Then Jesus touched the man's ear and healed him. |
